Geosynthetics: our applications

Le applications of geosynthetics Sineco International are multiple and wide. We design and develop cutting-edge products, made with 3D thermoplastic monofilament technology, which can solve drainage problems, in addition to preventing and control soil erosion (both in the natural, sports and engineering fields). Furthermore, these systems can also be used for improve ventilation and sound insulation of a property.

The most common uses of our geosynthetics

Here are the most common uses.

DRAINAGE

The application of geomats and other geosynthetic products on soils, roof gardens, and pavements (in the construction industry) channels excess fluids , preventing the risks associated with water trapping within surfaces and in construction works. This increases the stability of the structure, preventing mold, infiltration, and landslides.

Products useful for traditional, horizontal and vertical drainage of land, roof gardens, foundations and retaining walls.

They can be freely associated with any type of waterproofing and can be used in both the engineering and construction sectors.

Erosion control

To control and prevent landslides on sloping or naturally unstable terrain, the use of anti-erosion geomats is essential.

Expertly positioned within the ground, they create an armour that absorbs tensile stresses , preserving the area and stabilising it.

Useful in the construction sector and for agricultural and gardening works (even in areas subject to erosive precipitation, rain or strong winds).

Soil consolidation

The application of drainage geocomposites and reinforced geomats in the soil, in the civil engineering branch, can improve the stability of structures , avoiding differential settlements.

How? By increasing the bearing capacity of a soil, stabilizing excavations, natural or artificial slopes, and carrying out a control action on the filtration movements with soil consolidation.

Landfill Solutions

Landfills require the application of specific drainage geosynthetics to meet the specific needs of the sector , including the correct containment of waste, the surface drainage of rainwater and gases, as well as the flow of sewage, without it coming into contact with the ground.

Used in civil engineering, these products must be used and applied in compliance with Legislative Decree no. 36 of 13 January 2003.

Building ventilation

In the construction sector, the use of geocomposites can prove useful when seeking solutions to optimize the ventilation of roofs and any other covering (both horizontal and vertical, and of any material).

The three-dimensional structure of the geosynthetics, combined with a breathable membrane, ensures proper airflow, eliminating condensation under the roof . It can be used for attics, lofts, attics, and corporate roofs, in both private and public buildings.
